For The Party in Black and White




Three pieces from my "Collection 2" will be part of the art auction during the Rockland Center for the Arts "Party in Black and White", on May 22nd.

(Fingers crossed).

Best of luck for the auction Amy, but if the people at the auction love your work just half as much as I do, I'm sure they will sell like hot cakes! (I just hope they don't prefer their art to be black and white as well)

Do I spy an ear in there?
And I have always wondered, do you make your leaves and mushrooms yourself or do you pick them from nature and preserve them in some way?

Thanks so much Sans! Break a finger sounds right, but somehow, more painful than break a leg, right? But I bet it would work-it may start a whole new figure of speech!

Helene-you are the best! Thank you so much for writing that-and yes, that is an ear! (my ear, actually). It's been interesting with the ears, I thought, when making the piece, (and earlier ones), who on earth would want an ear, but there are people, happily, who do. Go figure!

I have one rule that I force myself to follow, that everything has to be an imitation of life, nothing real, so I do make the elements myself. Though there are temptations all the time, when I find things...
