One of the things I love most about your work Amy, is that you make them out of materials that "imitate" the original... in just such a way that we have to pause and look closer and wonder what Are they made of? and when we are looking closer... we see the magical, the mysterious, the ephemeral, the exotic, the deep and dark and murky and sometimes the bizarre... and we wonder about the relationships of the parts to the whole... and the poetic way you put them together so that they almost fool us into believing they are the real original.... but really they are more so, because they have the added layer of your artistry and imagination, and yes, the Worlds you are constructing.... that allow us to see with Wonder the things we often don't take the Time to see at all!
I do love your bee pieces.... there is something so primal about bees...
Congratulations on another Great show!
